An expedition probing the Titanic wreck has revealed sharp new images of the world's most tragic ship. A research team used a robot to click thousands of photographs and hours of video roughly four km below the sea surface.
On Aug. 28, 2010, this(see above) image was released by Premier Exhibitions, Inc.-Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, the Titanic bow is shown.
The high-resolution images include views of the ship's bow, clearly depicting the railing and anchors, reports the Daily Mail. The expedition left Newfoundland in Canada earlier this month for the spot in the Atlantic where Titanic sank after colliding with an iceberg in 1912. More than 1,500 passengers and crew perished. It was super luxury liner's maiden voyage.

Scientists are relying on imaging technology and sonar devices that are being used for the first time on the Titanic wreck. They are probing nearly a century of sediment in the debris field to seek a full inventory of the ship.

The expedition is a partnership between RMS Titanic Inc, which has exclusive rights to the wreck, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, US. Officials from Expedition Titanic said they are now headed back to Newfoundland because of the rough weather conditions brought on by hurricane Danielle.
The expedition is scheduled to probe a 3/5 km debris field where hundreds of thousands of remains are scattered. Expedition officials say they intend to return to finish their work after a delay of a few days.
"Titanic" director James Cameron has also led teams to the wreck to record the bow and the stern, which separated during the sinking and now lie one-third of a mile apart. RMS Titanic made the last expedition to site in 2004.
So, go and watch the "epic movie" TITANIC Again to re-collect the architecture..!!

Although Blackberry maker
Research in Motion faced threats from
Government of India of a nationwide service disruption, the government of India has decided to extend its deadline for another 60 days.
India had threatened to systematically shut off some Blackberry services after RIM refused to meet requests to allow government officials to access incoming messages that hit India's airwaves. It is part of the country's national security and a guideline that other mobile providers in the region have been able to accommodate.
However, RIM says that it does not offer "
special deals" to countries that would lower its integrity as a secured mobile service network. It also notes that although there are mobile companies that provide the requested access, there are others that don't.
"
Singling out and banning" Blackberry instant messages" would be "i
neffective and counter-productive," said RIM. It promised to find an amicable solution but would not follow India's blanket request for sweeping access. India seemed to be firm in its demands and said a solution must be in place by tomorrow.
Now, in an about face, the country has given RIM another 60 days. RIM says it will continue to work with government officials to get an appropriate infrastructure in place.

Prometric, the firm that was responsible for conducting the rather disastrous first online CAT in 2009, has now come up with a way to ensure greater accuracy in the entrance exams by introducing unique sets of question papers different for each candidate in 2010.
"Each question paper will be a little different from the other, but its evaluation would be done on the same scale," Managing Director of Prometric, Soumitra Roy said.
"Since each question paper will be different, it might be possible that some questions are tougher than others. We'll keep this in mind while conducting evaluation," added Roy.

The Government will table the much-awaited Direct Taxes Code (DTC) bill in the Lok Sabha on Monday, that is expected to provide relief to income tax payers, both personal and corporate, though not as much as was proposed earlier in the draft.
The government is quite confident of replacing archaic Income Tax Act with DTC from 1st April, 2011. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has said he would announce the slabs for personal income tax while tabling the bill and has refused to share the details before that. He has only said so far that the exemption limit will be raised from the current Rs 1.6 lakh in a year to Rs two lakh.
However, sources said that as per the bill, approved by the Cabinet on Thursday, income between Rs 2-5 lakh is likely to attract 10 per cent tax; for Rs 5-10 lakh it will be 20 per cent and above Rs 10 lakh, 30 per cent.
Currently income between Rs 1.6-5 lakh attracts 10 per cent tax; between 5-8 lakh, 20 per cent and beyond 8 lakh, 30 per cent.
The proposed tax slabs are much lower than originally proposed in the draft DTC bill -- 10 per cent for Rs 1.6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, 20 per cent between Rs 10-25 lakh and 30 per cent for income above Rs 30 lakh.

Yet another scandal rocked Pakistan cricket on Sunday engulfing its captain Salman Butt, brilliant pace duo of Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir and four other players, leading to the arrest of a bookie in London and questioning of the players by the Scotland Yard after a tabloid sting.
Scotland Yard detectives visited the Pakistan dressing room immediately after the third day's play to question the players after the tabloid sting operation exposed 'spot-fixing' and the alleged nexus between the players and bookies.
"Scotland Yard detectives had visited the team hotel where they had taken statements of captain Salman Butt, fast bowlers Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir, and wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal," Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed said.
The 'News of the World' tabloid alleged that a Pakistani man Mazhar Majeed, who is now under arrest, had paid bribes to the players to bowl no-balls in the series and the Lord's Test.

This is yet another (http://www.currentweek.net/2010/08/is-2012-end-turning-into-reality.html) evidence for our paradoxical theory of 2012. Astronomers are predicting a massive solar storm to strike our planet in 2012 with a force of 100 million hydrogen bombs which is much powerful than the one that caused spectacular light shows on Earth earlier this month. NASA's been watching out for this storm since 2006NASA's warning about the massive flare this month was just a precursor to a massive solar storm building that had the potential to wipe out the entire planet's power grid. Similar storms back in 1859 and 1921 caused worldwide chaos, wiping out telegraph wires on a massive scale. The 2012 storm has the potential to be even more disruptive."The general consensus among general astronomers (and certainly solar astronomers) is that this coming Solar maximum will be the most violent in 100 years,""It will affect most, namely airline companies, communications companies and anyone working with modern GPS systems."They can even trip circuit breakers and knock out orbiting satellites, as has already been done this year,"No one really knows what effect the 2012-2013 Solar Max will have on today's digital-reliant society. The super storm would hit like "a bolt of lightning", causing catastrophic consequences for the world's health, emergency services and national security unless precautions are taken.NASA said that a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences found that if a similar storm occurred today, it could cause "1 to 2 trillion dollars in damages to society's high-tech infrastructure and require 4 to 10 years for complete recovery".The reason for the concern comes as the sun enters a phase known as Solar Cycle 24.They claim satellites will be aged by 50 years, rendering GPS even more useless than ever, and the blast will have the equivalent energy of 100 million hydrogen bombs."We know it is coming but we don't know how bad it is going to be""Systems will just not work. The flares change the magnetic field on the Earth and it's rapid, just like a lightning bolt. That's the solar effect,"
So, Guys!! Get ready for it......!!!!!!!!

Internet telephone capabilities added to Google's free Web-based email service in the United States appeared to have been successful, with more than a million calls logged in the 24 hours after its launch.
More than a million Voice calls were racked up at Gmail by the time the feature was a day old, according to Google spokesman Randall Sarafa.
On Wednesday, Gmail was infused with Voice, a Google telecommunications service that lets people use a single telephone number for all of their phones.
A "
call phones" option in Gmail chat enables people to make, screen or field Voice calls at their computers using Gmail.
Google made the service available to anyone in the
United States in late June, but it wasn't until this week that it combined the Internet telephony feature with Gmail.
Along with letting users have one phone number that rings at all of their telephones, the service converts voice mail or text messages into email and allows for toll-free calls to the United States and Canada.
Voice boasts competitively low rates for international calls and is a challenge to global Internet telephony star Skype.
Google will launch this feature in rest of the world by the end of the year. However , Google collects charge for this feature. Users need to pay /buy prepaid top up charge in order to use this service. Users can buy online using credit card.
