Soil-less Cultivation Technology - Innovative Way Of Growing Plants

Growing plants without soil (hydroponics) has been an oft-cited phenomenon under consideration for quite sometime. Of late, a Japanese bio-medical expert, Dr. Yuichi Mori has come up with an innovative way of growing plants without soil through hydro membrane applying medical membrane technology. Showcasing his unique achievement, the futuristic agricultural system Imec, he demonstrated that plants can be cultivated anywhere even in the space.

Soil-less Cultivation Technology - Innovative Way Of Growing Plants

He successfully cultivated cress plants through this ground breaking technology that produced a healthy yield with the minimal use of soil and water. He grew the crop on a sheet of cling-film where the plants were deeply rooted in the culture medium devoid of any soil. Dr. Yuichi Mori devoted a considerable amount of time in developing this special cling sheet, hydro membrane based on the principles of medical membrane technology. The secret of plant growth lies in the culture medium enriched with nutrients and sufficient water where the seeds are planted. The plants form a dense network of their roots as they grow which help them to cling firmly on the sheet. This unique agriculture system consumes about one-fifth of the water required for conventional soil cultivation, and the yield is absolutely safe as no pesticides or insecticides are added during cultivation.

This Imec method of cultivation induces the regulation of more sugar and amino acids during plant growth thereby producing high quality fruits and vegetables. Tomatoes and strawberries cultivated through this method will be sweeter containing high nutritional values. Moreover, the soil less cultivation prevents the growth of harmful bacteria and other soil borne diseases, and with the zero application of chemical pesticides, we can say that green plants are cultivated in a greener manner.

Crops can be grown on the film sheet on any surface and in any environment. Positive results have been derived through Imec method in the desert condition. A Japanese astronaut was successful in cultivating some herbs in the space station. Implementation of Imec method will not involve huge costs or complex technical process compared to hydroponics. It takes lesser time for plant growth, and the hydro membrane can be recycled.

Dr. Mori is highly optimistic about his invention that could bring about a radical change in country’s agriculture and economy, which has suffered a serious setback on the wake of tsunami. He firmly believes that the Imec method of farming will gradually overtake the hydroponics in the future.

Ajmal Kasab's security is worth Rs 10 crore..!!

Ajmal Kasab's security is worth Rs 10 crore..!!
26/11 shooter Ajmal Kasab is worth 10 crores. Surprised..!!! Yes, Maharashtra govt received a 10cr reimbursement bill for the security of Ajmal Kasab from Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

But Medha Gadgil (principal secretary-Home) of MH says that "What Kasab and his associates did is an attack not only on Mumbai but an attack on India and it is unfair to ask the state government to bear the burden (for ITBP guarding Kasab)".

Last year, the Maharashtra govt sought for deployment of the ITBP which comprised around 200 commandos for the security of Kasab.

India should have spent this 10cr for economic development instead of giving security for this bastard.

Does Technical Interviews Really Effective To Find Right Candidate?

Does Technical Interviews Really Effective To Find Right Candidate?

The bureaucratic hierarchy of the HR department screens the candidates over and over again to weed out the less skilled. However, often it all goes futile because of the wrong interview procedures. Many interviewers go the Google-Microsoft way with the so-called brain-teaser interview questions like - How many golf balls can fit in a school bus? So, in many cases, it seems that the skills required to pass industry-standard software interviews are not the skills required to be a good software developer.

Interviewer should be looking for people who are smart and who can get things done. Certificates and degrees should not define accomplishments; rather it should be measured in terms of real-world projects with real-world users.

An interviewer can analyze the skills of a candidate by asking him to show his code, explain the design decisions and describe what he would do differently on it. By making him to implement a feature or two while you watch, you can easily understand how he works and how he implements his innovative thoughts while working. And this is the ultimate aim of a technical interview and not to measure the depth of subject knowledge.

The typical theory-heavy interviews don't always figure out the coding skills of the candidates neither their ability to work as a team.

Mamata Banerjee trying to woo Tatas back to Singur

To return Singur's 400 acres to farmers; land part of 1,000 acres acquired for the Tatas’ Nano factory

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Friday opened another front against the Tata group, hours after being sworn in as the chief minister of West Bengal.

"My first decision as chief minister is to return the 400 acres to the unwilling farmers of Singur," Banerjee said after the first cabinet meeting on Friday. This 400 acres is part of the 1,000 acres acquired for the Tatas' Nano factory. Trinamool says it was acquired forcibly.

"It has been decided at the cabinet's first meeting that the Tatas are welcome to build their factory on 600 acres. But 400 acres will be given back to the farmers," she said. The Nano project became a big political issue in 2008 when Banerjee sided with the farmers and asked the state government to return the land acquired forcibly.

The Tatas were forced to shift the project to Sanand in Gujarat. While Banerjee could not give a deadline by when the land would be returned, she said the action would be in accordance with law.

A Tata Motors spokesperson said, "We have no guidance." The decision dashes hopes that the new government may become friendly with the Tatas to send a signal that it welcomes investments into the state - the numerous Trinamool Congress agitations against industry notwithstanding.

The Tata group had kept a communication channel with the Trinamool Congress open by informing it about the launch of its cancer hospital on May 16. The hospital was inaugurated by Group Chairman Ratan Tata.

The senior Tata executives invited for Banerjee's swearing-in ceremony did not turn up. The Trinamool Congress had sent invites to Ratan Tata, Tata Sons Director R Gopalakrishnan, Tata Steel Vice-Chairman B Muthuraman and Tata Motors Vice-Chairman Ravi Kant.

Asked if the move would make future investments by the Tata group uncertain, Banerjee said, "Bengal will be such a place that I will not have to invite the Tatas. They will come and invest."

Banerjee said she would make the state government's lease agreement with Tata Motors public. The Left Front government had put it partially in the public domain.

Experts say the main impediment in returning the land is law. Under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, land once acquired for a public purpose cannot be returned. However, a new legislation can be passed.

The previous Left Front government, under which the land was acquired, claimed that only 181 acres was disputed.

Scientists create a nanopatch for the heart

When you have a heart attack, a part of your heart dies. Specialized heart cells perish and you can never get them back.

Doctors cannot repair these kinds of areas in the heart; the dead areas just sit there functioning no more. When confronted with this type of problem there doesn’t seem to be much of a solution. Do you treat the area like a pothole and build a new route around it?

Scientists create a nanopatch for the heart

You could, but that’s a really unproductive way to fix the most important organ in the human body. In theory, a better approach would be to figure out how to revive the lifeless area. A group of researchers at Brown University and in India may have figured out a way to do exactly that.

The scientists looked to nanotechnology for a solution.

In a laboratory they constructed a scaffold-looking structure made of carbon nanofibers and a government-approved polymer. Their tests showed the artificial nanopatch restarted natural heart tissue cells – called cardiomyocytes – as well as neurons. Bascially, the tests showed that a dead region of the heart can be brought back to life. That’s right; we’re talking about zombie style hearts.

"This whole idea is to put something where dead tissue is to help regenerate it, so that you eventually have a healthy heart," said David Stout, a graduate student in the School of Engineering at Brown and the lead author of the paper published in Acta Biomaterialia.

Back Pain: What to do in case of 'Lumbago'?

Back Pain: What to do in case of 'Lumbago'?

It ‘s a low back pain acute a sudden and very strong pain that occurs in the lower back Determined, in most cases, by a muscle contracture caused, in turn, by a sudden movement or incorrect. It is not serious, but should be treated properly. First of all, the first thing to do just “affect by the witch,” is to stay in the same position, without trying to straighten up and force, because this could cause injuries.

So if it was … curved one is curved. At this point, you need to reach and stay in bed rest absolute for 48 hours, which means without changing position and without getting up. In this way, the muscles can slowly resume normal features. Usually this form of low back pain heals spontaneously within three days, so there’s not much to do but rest.

After 48 hours of forced immobility, we can move again, but use great care and caution. Better to make slow movements and avoid any forcing until there is restored completely.

How to Detect Hidden Camera in Trial Room?

In front of the trial room take your mobile and make sure that mobile can make calls........

Then enter into the trail room, take your mobile and make a call.....

If u can't make a call......!!!!

There is a hidden camera......

This is due to the interference of fiber optic cable during the signal transfer......

How to Detect Hidden Camera in Trial Room?

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR?

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror I.e., they can see you, but you can't see them. There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms.

It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of Mirror we are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There may be someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do.

This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass. Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

Share this with your sisters, wife, daughters, friends, colleagues, etc.

Dowry Calculator making fun on Indian Marriage Traditions (Grooms)!!

Dowry Calculator making fun on Indian Marriage Traditions(Grooms)!!
Home Page of dowrycalculator.com
The tradition of a dowry has been around for longer than there has been a record to tell of it.

For centuries, women have given money goods or estate to the men's family for the honor of marrying into it.

Yet in India — a country in which doweries were long considered essential — the younger generation is starting to reject and even laugh at them.

Last week, a dowry calculator was created to parody how much money brides and the "matchmaking aunties" should be bringing to their groom.

The calculator, released just in time for one of India's several marriage seasons, pokes fun at the factors an Indian woman weighs when considering a groom. There are boxes for age, profession, caste, salary, father’s profession, how dark or light their skin color, height, and alma mater.

Based on the inputs provided the calculator generates the dowry amount that Groom can demand. Besides this, the calculator also suggests what  are the other properties like Land, building, cars etc that Groom can expect from bride during wedding.

AS Per the Survey Results of Shaadi.com

  • In the 1970s the emphasis by women was on men that were well-settled with a good income.
  • In the 1980s it was about physical attributes.
  • And then, beginning in the 1990s, it was about your working background, marking a shift from domestic to professional.
  • Whether a groom's skin color is brown or wheatish may no longer influence an Indian woman's decision, but the place where he went to business school, his profession, or salary still might.
  • Among rural and low-income families and Indian wives have continued to face harassment from husband's families about the size of their dowry.
  • While most urban families no longer demand a traditional dowry, the older generation is still interested in what objects the wife brings to her new home.

So, guys check your dowry rate.!!! http://dowrycalculator.com/

2011 Five State Assembly Election Results Declared: Congress to rule only 1 State And Ally in Another

2011 elections saw a dramatic turn-around in West Bengal and Kerala.

The 5 states (Tamilnadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Assam & West Bengal) assembly election results are out. West bengal saw the ouster of 34 year rule of communists. The loss was complete with current CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee losing Jadhavpur seat by over 25,000 votes. Mamata Banerjee lead TMC(Trinamool Congress) sweeped bengal in a royal way with 220+ seats out of 294. Congress is an ally of TMC in this election.

Tamilnadu has seen a major change in power after 10 years. Corruption allegations and family politics lead to Karunanidhi lead DMK's loss and Jayalalitha lead AIADMK's victory. Only good news is that Karunanidhi won by over 50,000 votes in tiruvarur. AIADMK won 190+ seats out of 234. Jayalalitha will be sworn in as the CM for 4th time.

Kerala also sees a change in power from LDF lead VS Achutanandan to congress led UDF. UDF had a neck and neck competition from LDF with the later winning 68 out of 140.
